Andrea MONSERRAT

Margarita Salas Fellow | PhD MSc BSc in Civil Engineering

 

Dr. Andrea Monserrat (Spain, 1991) received a MSc degree in Civil Engineering in 2015 and in Concrete Engineering in 2016 from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). She obtained her PhD title in Construction Engineering from the UPV in 2020. At the moment, Andrea is a Margarita Salas Fellow at the civil and Environmental Engineering Department of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona. Her research interests are focused on the field of structures and materials technology, including the development and characterization of new materials for the optimization of structural design and the analysis of the durability and sustainability of concrete structures. Andrea was visiting researcher at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland (2018).

Andrea has taught course on structural concrete technology and finite elements analysis of concrete structures. .

Andrea was pre-doctoral Generalitat Valenciana Fellow (2016-2019) and she is now Margarita Salas Fellow.

She got the Award for the Best First Year Academic Record (2009/2010) and for the Best Fourth Year Academic Record (2012/2013) from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
